Keep accurate and complete records for payroll, inventory, weather data, maintenance procedures and fertilizer and pesticide applications for historical reference.Maintain the clubhouse and other facilities by monitoring all maintenance records and support the operations of the pro-shop, locker-room, restaurant, kitchen, banquet facilities, and outdoor patios.Perform inventory controls, approve all expenditures and exercise cost control measures to keep operating and capital expenses in line with the approved budget. Acquire equipment and purchase necessary supplies to maintain Recreation Department properties.Oversee performance of mowing equipment and implement cutting unit maintenance to obtain optimal turf health and playing conditions.Scout for invasive tree and woodland pests and implement preventive and curative pest control programs to insure tree health.Monitor turf grass moisture levels and schedule computer irrigation programs to maintain optimal turf health.Scout for turf grass diseases and insects and implement preventive and curative pest control programs to insure optimal turf health.Observe golf course conditions and implement cultural practices to achieve above average playing conditions, within prescribed budget.The job duties include but are not limited to direct and supervise the maintenance of the Village Links of Glen Ellyn 27 hole golf course, Panfish Park, Co-op Park and Lambert Lake Nature Preserve to direct and supervise the maintenance and repair of the Grounds Division maintenance equipment and Recreation Department buildings to guide maintenance activities to achieve environmental benefits to Village Links/Reserve 22 properties through conservation efforts and environmental activities.
